Abstract
Up to now two cores of weapon grade plutonium oxide were tested in the experimental fast reactor BR-10. Several batches of MOX pellet fuel pins made by different technological techniques from different isotope mixtures were tested in the research fast reactor BOR-60. In the BN-350 reactor the tests have been performed with the subsequent investigation and chemical reprocessing of experimental subassemblies with MOX fuel. By now more than 3000 fuel pins with MOX pellet fuel have been fabricated and tested in the BN-350 and BN-600 reactors. The results of two BR-10 cores and of the MOX fuel irradiation in BOR-60, BN-350 and BN-600 reactors are described below. The results of post-irradiation examinations of fuel pins with PuO2 and UPuO2 are also reviewed.
