Abstract

The reader who wishes to consult the principal sources for the elaboration of the concept of ontological insecurity which will be considered in this paper may refer to Sartre’s Being and Nothingness (1943) (in particular Part 1, Chapters 1 and 2), and Chapter Three of R. D. Laing’s The Divided Self (1959).
