Abstract

Assessment has the function of providing valid evidence of learning achievement to inform students, to facilitate provision of further learning, or to certify that a required level has been reached. Such information is of particular relevance to individual students and their teachers. Teachers are able to develop and improve the educational process if they have identified the strengths of their pupils and know which areas of study require attention.
