Abstract

The first work on supermathematics seems to have been an article by I. L. Martin [1] published in 1959. In that paper Martin constructed the Poisson algebra for functions of anticommuting variables

$$[f,g] = \sum \left( {f(x)\frac{{\overleftarrow \partial }}{{\partial {x_i}}}} \right)\mathop \omega \nolimits_{ik} \left( {\frac{{\overrightarrow \partial }}{{\partial {x_k}}}g(x)} \right).$$
