Deconstructing Robert Lucas

Abstract

There are at least three reasons why economists should learn about deconstruction. First, it ties together recent work about economics and language. Second, it provides a new approach to the history of economic thought. Third, it suggests a particular, and to some provocative, understanding of what economists do and why we do it.
