Abstract
This section is devoted to the problem of normability: What conditions guarantee the existence of a measure on a complete BA X? If we consider the elements of the algebra as events then our problem admits the following formulation: When does a countably additive probability measure exist on the set of events X which is equal to zero only for the impossible event?
