Abstract
Fumagillin is an antibiotic produced by the parasitic fungus, Aspergillus fumigatus, and acts by inhibiting RNA synthesis. It is acidic and is normally presented as the dicyclohexylamine (DCH) ((C6H11)2NH) salt. This salt is sparingly soluble in water but moderately soluble in ethanol.
