A Step to Life Decision Problems: Verbal Decision Analysis

Abstract

There is wide class of decision problems for which main parameters are of qualitative nature and relations among them could be defined only by decision maker preferences. New approach to the solution of such problems is proposed: Verbal Decision Analysis. The main ideas of the approach are given and illustrated by the method of multicriteria alternatives’ classification. The real life example is taken to demonstrate the possibilities of the approach.
