XMM-Newton Observations of X-Ray Afterglow of GRB 001025

Abstract

This poster presents the data reduction results of GRB 001025 with XMM-Newton. The spectra can be fitted with a power-law model with an absorption about 2.6 × 1021 cm−2, which is much lager than that of the Galactic absorption, i.e. 0.6 × 1021 cm−2. This suggests that some GRBs may be related to the star-forming region.
