Abstract

This book is based largely on the outcome of a workshop on cultural heritage aspects of landscapes, which was held during the IALE European conference in Stockholm and Tartu in 2001. The workshop initially targeted the management of cultural heritage and identifying the links between landscape ecology and archaeology, but during the workshop the scope grew wider. As a result, the conference papers have been supported by invited contributions that address a wider range of related issues.
