Abstract
Some synthesis of organic compounds can be made using enzymes instead of other reagents more aggressive for the environment. In this work we report the transformation of a labdene derivative 3β,l5-diacetoxylabd-7-ene (1) into the 3-β-acetoxylabd-7-ene-l5-ol (2) using a Chromobacterium viscosum lipase in only one single step.
