Abstract
A Strong Earthquake Hits Tashkent, Uzbekistan, at 5:00 am Strong tremors hit the city of Tashkent, capital of Uzbekistan, at 5:00 am in early morning. It is estimated that the epicenter is located just beneath the city with a magnitude of 6.1 (in the Richter scale). The intensity is 7 and 8 (MSK) in most of the parts, and reaching 9 in some areas of the city. The shaking lasted for about half a minute.
