Abstract
The theme of this Workshop refers to “High-Tech Industries, Science, and Research and Development.” This broad definition includes scientific activities with a definite commercial purpose (e.g., “high-tech” industries and R&D aiming at developing marketable products or processes) and others that may or may not have a commercial purpose (e.g., theoretical or “pure” science and non-directed research).
