Abstract

The Purpose of this panel was to pose the problem of global climate change, which is the main example of non-stationarity in this whole volume. The contributions of the ASI participants may be summarized as follows:

Bogardi emphasized that the outputs of the GCM’s are not accurate and therefore not directly usable. It is necessary to downscale the results using for example macrocirculation patterns together with observed precipitation, to estimate local response to climatic change.
