Abstract
A mathematical model for the estimation of daily sequential water balances is presented. The following hydrologic variables are up — dated daily by the model: precipitation, runoff, evapotranspiration, soil moisture and deep recharge of aquifers. The model was used with good results in the study of water resources of several portuguese watersheds.
