Abstract
The exterior problem for which solutions are presented in this chapter is depicted in Figure 7-1. As shown, all medium discontinuities and sources are confined within some closed surface, S 0. This figure also shows a region, R e , inside S 0 that is excluded from the problem domain. The problem includes suitable boundary conditions on əR e , the boundary of R e . The algorithms presented below can be adapted to one or many such excluded regions, or none at all.
