Abstract

Most researches on the heredity of the length of stem refer to the genotypical difference between one of the many short forms and one of the many tall forms. In these crosses it has been established that tall dominates and that the difference in length is determined by the growth favouring factor Le, corresponding with the monofactorial difference shown by Mendel (59, 1866, p. 14). Genetical analysis of mutually differing tall forms, however, have rarely been made.
