Abstract

It is a difficult undertaking to analyze the relationships between the images which have dominated the post-world war II period in Europe and the social system which has emerged in social reality.

Bart Landheer is former Director-Librarian of the Peace Palace, The Hague. At present he has a special Professorship of international relations at The University of Groningen.
