Abstract

Nemec: The recent finding by Nemec, Nemec and Norris (1986 Astron. J. 92), and others, that double-mode RR Lyrae stars are not found in the highly flattened globular cluster ω Cen, despite the apparent similarity of the primary periods of these stars to the primary (first overtone) periods of the double-mode RR Lyrae stars in M 15, seems to us might also be caused by star-to-star angular momentum differences.
