Abstract
Selective separation of proteins by chromatographic agents has been used extensively in plasma fractionation for many years. These agents include ion exhange groups on various types of solid phase matrices such as cellulose1 and agarose2. In addition there has been recent emphasis on affinity chromatography3 and on gel permeation chromatography for the separation of salt from protein on the basis of molecular size4,5.
