Abstract
The pre-adviser is grateful for the view of someone who knows all about the practice of applied science and he entirely understands Dr Dippel’s objections against the pre-advice. Nevertheless he believes that in the pre-advice especially the responsibility had to be stressed, which belongs to the student of science in that capacity, although at the same time explicitly must be stated that his responsibility was thereby not by any means exhausted. Responsibility that goes further than this the scientist shares with his fellow-creatures as has been repeatedly remarked in the pre-advice. This does not make the responsibility less important but it does make it less specific.
