Abstract
In the preceding chapter Dr. Johnson has illustrated the variety of disorders of the developing nervous system which can be produced experimentally with several viral infections. In order to keep his presentation in some perspective related to human diseases, we shall review briefly what is known about infections of the human in utero or perinatally.
