Abstract
Human sexual behavior has many determinants, including the physiology of various organ systems, the physical and emotional health of the individuals, the relationship between the participants, and the social setting in which the sexual activity occurs. Inability to meet one’s sexual expectations is a common source of discomfort. This may become disguised as a somatic illness for which the individual is inaccurately diagnosed and treated.
