Abstract
In the marketing process, large quantities of raw agricultural products and other food products are placed in the custody of warehouses. The United States Warehouse Act, one of the oldest federal food laws, provides protection for the owner or consignee of the merchandise through mandatory licensing and bonding of warehousemen. The act, which is given as Chapter 10—Warehouses under Title 7 of the United States Code, is presented in its entirety below.
