Abstract

Fedorov, Maximov and Bogorov (1968) obtained the data in Table P.1 from an experiment on the composition of a nutritive medium for green sulphur bacteria Chlorobrium thiosulphatophilum. The bacteria were grown under constant illumination at a temperature of 25–30 °C: the yield was determined during the stationary phase of growth. Each factor was at two levels, with each level used 8 times. Subject to this, the factor levels were randomized.
