Abstract
In comparison with the other electrical systems of an automobile, that of the starting motor and its switch and wiring is the simplest consisting, as it does, of switches, starting motor and battery, wired in series. Before dealing with the starting system and its electrical components it is necessary to consider the basic requirements of the starting motor from the point of view of the engine operation, under starting conditions.
