Abstract
The part played by the various spinal tracts in the genesis of the cortical somatosensory evoked potential (SEP) in Man is still a matter of dispute. According to some authors1,2; the lemniscal and the extralemniscal tracts are both involved. But others3–7 consider the posterior column as the predominating element.
