The Judiciary

  • Chapter
On Reasonable Liability

Abstract

For the purpose of sketching the organization of the Judiciary in Canada, the actual situation in the Province of Ontario is described. The other provinces have a largely similar judicial organization, althoug comparable courts may be known by different names. Broadly speaking, the Canadian judicial organization and the procedures followed are based on the English rules of 1875 as amended and extended since then. Only such courts as may be required to deal with strict liability issues are mentioned.
