Abstract
The paper will outline the basic principles of the Murco Forecasting and Inventory Control System, which has been designed with a wide range of options to enable it to be ‘tuned in’ to meet the specific needs of individual customers. Rather than concentrating on the basic concepts of control, the paper will highlight the application of the system to the retail industry and on specific aspects of direct relevance to retailing.
