Abstract

When the family business broke down I decided to support my family by teaching. I entered teacher training college at the age of 40 and then started to suffer fear symptoms of which nausea was the worst. These occurred in any social situation, lecture halls, students’ lounge and on public transport. Having previously been treated for cancer I at first thought my symptoms due to a recurrence and, though investigations were negative, I still worried lest the doctors should have missed something.
