Abstract
As with the larger herbivores, the smaller animals of the Forest must find in their environment food and shelter if they are to survive. Different species differ in their food habits and in the type and degree of cover they prefer, but distribution of each species is restricted to those habitats which provide their particular requirements in food source and vegetative cover.
