Abstract
This paper summarizes clinical studies at the Medical Radiological Research Centre of RAMS between 1973 and 1986 on the application of Cf-252 sources for brachytherapy of head and neck tumors including the usage of interstitial neutron therapy of relapsing cancers. 3-, 5- and 10-year results of brachytherapy of 488 patients with malignant tumors of different locations, advance and histogenesis are reviewed.
