Abstract

Consider the root locus plot of Fig.4.5. Any point s in the locus is solution of the characteristic equation 1 + gG(s)H(s) = 0. Therefore, we have

$$ \left| {gG\left( s \right)H\left( s \right)} \right| = 1 \emptyset \left( {gGH} \right) = - \pi $$
