Abstract
Since 1980, clinical investigators in the United States have been engaged in efforts to standardize reference sera for antinuclear antibody determinations. This activity has continued and more recently, it has expanded to become an international cooperative effort involving laboratories in the United States, Europe, Japan and Australia.
