Abstract
The molecular characteristics of two selected guest molecules in thiourea and urea inclusion compounds are examined using solid state NMR techniques. Particular emphasis is given to the guest properties in the vicinity of solid-solid phase transitions which are known to be accompanied by a distortion of the host lattice. The analysis of the NMR data reveals at such phase transitions also significant changes for the motional features of the guest molecules. It is concluded that with respect to the guest components they can be assigned to order-disorder transitions.
