Abstract

The Cordillera Bianca Mts. and the neighbouring Cordillera Negra Mts. belong to the Cordillera Occidental Mts., located in the northern part of Peru. The Santa River separates the Cordillera Negra Mts., situated more to the west, from Cordillera Bianca Mts., situated more to the east (Fig. 1).
