Abstract
Some recent results on the galaxy 3D power spectrum and the luminosity function derived from the Las Campanas Redshift Survey (LCRS) are discussed. We will present the LCRS power spectrum, compare it against results from other local redshift surveys, and use it to constrain a number of cold dark matter structure formation models. Then we will proceed to describe the LCRS luminosity function, as well as briefly discuss some related topics, specifically galaxy spectral classification and the evolution of the galaxy luminosity density.
