Abstract
Among other indications, the anomalous behavior of the specific heat [1] and the NMR-relaxation rate [2] in the heavy-electron superconductor UBe13 have been interpreted as evidence that superconductivity in this compound is of unconventional nature. Inspired by the analogy of the behavior of these properties to those of superfluid He3, it has been proposed that the superconducting state is an axial [1] or polar [2] spin-triplet state, respectively. However, the identification of the proper symmetry of the superconducting order parameter is still an open problem.
