Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present the perspective of a developing country on Joint Implementation (JI) and Activities Implemented Jointly (AIJ). Therefore a brief introduction to the situation of Costa Rica is given, before describing the different generations of AIJ projects in Costa Rica and their benefits.

This is a transcript of the tape recorded during the lecture of Mr. Tattenbach at the Advanced Study Course. After moderate revision by the editors to make contents and format compatible with this volume and to include the relevant parts of the discussion it has been authorised by Mr. Tattenbach.
