Abstract

In this chapter we relate the discrete stochastic systems of Chapter 2 and the continuous time stochastic systems resulting from a stochastic representation of semi-groups of Chapter 3. The Trotter product formula can be considered as a discrete time approximation to the continuous time semi-group. In this chapter we express the discrete time approximation resulting from the Trotter formula by Gaussian random variables.
