Abstract

In 1998, it is the sixtieth anniversary of Tibor Györy’s death. Tibor Györy (1869–1938), physician, historian of medicine is even now not yet acknowledged. Our poster will demonstrate stations of Györy’s life, our information sheets show the results of our investigations. We are employed at the Semmelweis University of Medicine. Our University is bearing the name of Ignac Semmelweis from the year 1969. It was Tibor Györy, who made the name of Semmelweis internationally known. He left his book collection of 2211 documents, his archival material by will to the library of the medical faculty.
