Abstract
Gouazé and Santini [58] state that “La pénétration de corps étranger dans la boîte cranienne par l’orbite est relativement frequente” (TIPI is relatively frequent) and De Nobele [62] agrees, but practically all other authors working with TIPI point out the rarity of this injury, e.g. Dujovny et al. [13]: “Intracranial penetration of a foreign body via the orbit is a rather unusual event during time of peace”.
