Abstract
This article very briefly reviews the evidence for an against the cosmological hypothesis (CH) viz. the redshifts of all extragalactic objects are due to the expansion of the Universe. In the latter part various theoretical noncosmological alternatives are discussed with a special emphasis on quasars.
