Evaluation of Supplemental Irrigation

Evaluation procedure interfaces with chapter 2 where the activities of research design and methodology were discussed and chapters 3–14 where specific theories and methods delineate the techniques of supplemental irrigation. This procedure lends a structure to monitor and assess the components of supplemental irrigation as they link agricultural production to the total socioeconomic system. Evaluation becomes a continuing process for affirming the results from basic research using verification studies and on-farm applications as they integrate within technology transfer for sustained agricultural productivity.
