Abstract
This paper describes an expert aid system for drilling operations on metallic aircraft engine parts. To be more precise, the system defines a complete machining process (operations, tools and cutting parameters) depending on the machine selected and the geometry of the different entities to be machined. In this paper, we will describe the aims and functions of the system, together with the software techniques used.
