Formation of Multicellular Aggregates of Adult Rat Hepatocytes
Since hepatocytes in primary culture express various differentiated hepatic functions in vitro for a certain period of time, large scale culture of the cells with high density are expected to have many important applications. Particularly, a hybrid artificial liver using normal hepatocytes is expected for an effective treatment of acute hepatic failure.
