Abstract
In the study of collective decision procedures a main subject is connected with the phenomenon of power: What can be decided by individuals and groups of individuals alone, independently of the actions of the rest of society. This possibility of influencing society’s choice reflects the power structure in the society: A group of individuals is powerful if it can enforce some alternatives or actions upon society.
