Abstract
Mycorrhized legumes may be of great economic importance. The selection of the right plant cultivars and microsymbiont isolates is a very important aspect for a purposeful use of the tripartite symbiosis. It is necessary to test the specificity of interactions between host cultivars and microsymbiont isolates and to screen for compatible microorganisms which are more efficient and competitive than the autochthonic population in the fields.
