Abstract

Serum amyloid A is an acute phase protein known to circulate in blood as a component of high density lipoprotein. Platelets and mediators released from activated platelets are involved in various inflammatory reactions (1). It was, therfore, of interest to investigate whether this protein could play a role in modulating platelet function.
