Abstract

We report preliminary results of a comprehensive spectroscopic survey of 511 Luyten-Giclas common proper motion binaries which contain known or suspected white dwarf components. Approximately 75% of the sample, which reaches to m_pg ~ +21, has now been spectroscopically classified.
